[ARCHIVED] County Shares Fireworks Safety Tips

The July 4 holiday is here and Kingman County wants all residents to stay safe when using fireworks. Here are some tips.
A good rule is to shoot fireworks in the same community where you bought them. Just because you purchase a firework in one location doesn't mean it is legal in others.
The National Council on Fireworks Safety reports seeing an increase in injuries among youth who have used fireworks unsafely and taken a video to impress friends. Parents are urged to help stop fireworks being used in viral videos and instead encourage safe practices.
With proper precautions, everyone can enjoy the July 4 holiday safely.
