Kingman County Sheriff Randy Hill reports that 52 pounds of unwanted or expired prescription drugs were collected in an April 30 drug "take-back" event.
This was the 11th such event. The free and anonymous service is part of a nationwide effort administered by the Drug Enforcement Association to allow for safe disposal of unwanted drugs.
More than 90,000 pounds of drugs have been collected in Kansas since September 2010 through such events.
