The Kingman County Motor Vehicle Tag Office is changing its daily deadline to submit title work to 4 p.m., effective Oct. 1.
The previous deadline allowed customers to submit title work as late as 4:30 p.m., which does not always allow processing to be completed in one trip, especially if some required paperwork is missing or incomplete. The office closes at 4:45 p.m. daily.
The hope is that by moving the deadline to 4 p.m., customers will get vehicle titles processed in one trip. The change also will help minimize staff overtime.
"We prefer to get title work done in one trip for our customers if at all possible," said Treasurer Donna Rohlman. "We think this new schedule will help us do that."
Customers are encouraged to call the tag office (620-532-5482) to be sure they have the necessary paperwork to get a vehicle title before coming to the office.
