The Kingman County Health Department (KCHD) was established and operates under the premise that all people are entitled to adequate health care; that they have a right to maintain a healthy independence and to have access to information concerning their health and prevention of illness.
The department’s objectives are to provide preventative health measures for all residents of Kingman County, including, but not limited to:
Early intervention health screening
Reproductive health information and services
Information and education in caring for infants and children
Referrals to licensure of day care providers
Nutritional information and/or assistance
Travel health recommendations
Well-person health assessments
Fees vary depending on the service but most are based on a sliding fee scale. Medicaid, BCBS, and other insurances are billed for covered services.
No one is refused services due to inability to pay.
The Kingman County Health Department is excited to provide an electronic medical management program that will help boost efficient healthcare service delivery. This system, AthenaHealth, includes improved communication between Health Department clients and staff through the AthenaHealth Online Patient Portal.
Once a client creates an account and receives a password, that person will be able to contact KCHD anytime and will be able to:
Change address or contact information
Leave messages for KCHD staff
Request medication refills
Schedule or change appointments
View testing results
Client satisfaction increases when concerns are addressed as they arise.
